FILTER And View In dATa report, need help plss?

new in vb6.. can you please help me, i want to create a report for students who has topped in their class.. i need to filter all the students grade, and then all the records of students whos ave > 85 will be included in top 10 ranking.. i can view the filtered students who has ave > 85, but how do i transfer my filtered students to data report???
