Excel 2003 as backend database for VB6

I want to display selected data from excel 2003 sheets via VB6.

All the tutorials are giving detailed instructions on ACCESS but are very brief when it comes to Excel.
Connection to ACCESS is quite easy with ADO but I am struggling when I substitute excel sheet with ACCESS table.

Can someone please write a little sample code to connect to EXCEL 2003 with VB6 and display selected contents by pressing an appropriate command button.
